Batch_005 - A huge batch of ocean plastics was brought to the mainland by the Marine Biological Society, and we were happy to help ensure this waste was recycled into something positive.

The Marine Biological Association (MBA), based in Plymouth, is a renowned institution dedicated to advancing research and education in marine biology. Founded in 1884, it has played a pivotal role in understanding marine ecosystems, supporting groundbreaking research in fields ranging from molecular biology to ecology. They brought in a large batch of nets and ropes from the Plymouth Sound area and wanted to ensure that they were recycled into something positive and that the materials stayed out of harm's way.

The MBA operates the prestigious Marine Biological Laboratory, providing state-of-the-art facilities for scientists worldwide. By conducting critical studies on marine biodiversity, climate change, and conservation, the MBA contributes significantly to protecting marine environments. Its efforts help inform policy, foster sustainable practices, and enhance public awareness about the importance of marine life in maintaining ecological balance. We were so excited to work with the amazing organisation and ensure the materials were recycled into our range of recycled ocean plastic products.

So far, we have used the materials brought in by the MBA to create a range of Ocean Plastic Plant pots, beams and planks for our park benches.
